ABOUT ME
Welcome to Renewed Counselling Services. My name is Lorraine and I am a qualified and registered counsellor who has a passion for seeing men and women find their identity and thrive in who they are called to be. To love and respect yourself for who you are is the most liberating thing because it is from that inner abundance and confidence, you can easily extend love, honour and respect to others. It starts by acknowledging your own personal journey and understanding that, from that journey, good or bad, you draw strength and motivation for change to be a better person for yourself and for those around you. I love working with individuals, couples and families as they discover balanced approaches for self-development and team-development in their homes. At the heart of all of this, is promotion of mental wellbeing. I am dedicated to joining alongside people from all walks of life and offer a genuine listening ear as they work on what is important to them.
Partnerships
I am privileged to partner with LifeWell, a highly respected ethical and professional counselling organisation that has been operating in South Australia for over 20 years. LifeWell is run by the Baptist Church. Using an integrated service approach, LifeWell aims to help people live life well through access to high quality care and recovery services for the whole person (body, soul and spirit). With multiple locations across Adelaide, clients can book an appointment at a convenient location for them. I work from LifeWell Broadview and Elizabeth clinics and can accommodate clients who prefer in-person appointments at these locations. For those who prefer online appointments, I offer telehealth counselling services and clients have the flexibility to have their sessions from the comfort of their own home or any location suitable for them.
I offer Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to small businesses. This service is highly recognised because of the excellence in care and compassionate dedication to the wellbeing of the clients that I work with. I also work with NDIS Service Providers offering general counselling services to their clients and their carers in a joint effort to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing.
My Approach:
Integrative Therapy
At Renewed Counselling Services, I adopt a Person-Centred Approach with the goal of providing a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their emotions, overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Because counselling does not offer a one-size-fits-all solution, I implement an Integrative form of counselling whereby I draw from several evidence-based counselling therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for the best outcomes for my clients. The focus is on the overall well-being of every individual. My commitment is to support you on your journey towards mental wellness and see you come out of therapy with a sound mind and positive emotional wellbeing.
